Karol Madera recruits the naive, misfits, dimwits, criminals, pedophiles, and the easily misled. Some members of this motley crew have spent a great deal of time aiding and abetting Madera's malicous agenda.

Madera calls himself "Comandante Carlos" and the signature line on his webpage says "Viva Madero [reportedly a distant relation], Villa y Zapata. Viva la Revolucion!"

Madera is not Hispanic. Far from it. He is an immigrant from Poland. The surname Madera comes from a Lithuanian word which means, literally, "to flush" which stems from the days before indoor plumbing when social outcasts and their families were hired to muck out human waste from the gutters and streets. In England, some families adopted names like Weaver, Cooper, and Shepherd for similar reasons. However, "Madera" is a fitting name, and it describes a fitting heritage for Karol Madera.

Brandon Duke is a young criminal who served jail time in association with Internet related theft. Madera recruited him as a follower, but like several others, Duke now says he deeply regrets his past association with Karol Madera.

Madera also cultivated the friendship of Dr. Joe Goldberg, who was recently Warned by the FCC about illegal use of radio frequencies that could result in a $10,000 fine.

Notorious jammer, David Castle, was another Madera recruit who recently lost his FCC license, permanently.

Don Anderson was apprehended and arrested for the possession of nine pounds of marijuana with intent to distribute. He said he murdered children in Cambodia and once spent 3 days in an opium den. He is another good friend of Karol Madera and a regular correspondent.

Glenn Baxter, Madera's one-time radio co-host, was fined $21,000 for various infractions of the US Code. The US Attorney is expected to sue Baxter for recovery of the fine. Baxter deserves a few lines on his own page and we're happy to oblige.

Mark Morgan, a self described ally of Madera, made false reports of child abuse to several different jurisdictions against complainants in the Madera case.

Sidney Mahan deceased, is another Madera recruit who was cited by the FCC for extreme racism, obscenity, profanity, and jamming.

Whitney Tritch is someone who befriended Karol Madera two years ago. Tritch has repeated Madera's defamation for years, and he was warned by the US Attorney's office concerning illegal computer intrusion following Tritch's entry into a password protected computer system for the purpose of posting defamation.

Todd Daugherty was twice Warned by the FCC regarding his radio station operation. He is under currently investigation by the FBI for making threats against a ten year old boy. Daugherty also says the FBI was very interested in his "art" collection. Madera has encouraged, aided, and mentored Daugherty for more than a year.

These are just a few of Madera's recruits, criminal and otherwise. Now, let's review some of Karol Madera's outrageous lies and outright fabrications.

To begin, we contacted Brian Crow, who is often victimized by Karol Madera, presumably because Crow was the first in a long list of complainants against Madera and because Crow continues to work with federal officials in order to apprehend Madera's criminal associates.

Despite threatening lawsuits against many others who have made unfavorable comments about him, ordering them to "Govern Yourself Accordingly," Madera has never threatened Crow with a suit. This is presumably because Madera realizes that Crow has hundreds of recordings and dozens of witnesses, including federal employees, who are more than willing, eager in fact, to testify on his behalf.

Madera hosts a webpage with a collection of lies, defamation, and harassment. He says this is his "first" webpage, which is "reactive" but this is a lie, and very easy to disprove. Madera has 2 active webpages, and 3 webpages which have been removed. His current "main" page is hosted in Canada, where harassment by communications is legal. The 3 pages he attempted to host in the US were removed by Yahoo because they contained hate speech. Madera's first page, a loony snoozefest of a rant about a US federal official, remains in Poland, where it's been online since 2003.

Many of Madera's pages, and much of his invective is aimed at Brian Crow and Crow's wife. If Madera's delusion were true, Brian Crow would rank as the fist right wing radical to sit on the Board of an African American foundation designed to help African American convicts reintegrate into society and train for meaningful work. He'd also rank as the first right wing radical to manage a project funded by the Justice Department and Teresa Heinz Kerry's Heinz Endowments. Crow designed a $300,000 project to help Muslim children avoid contact with illegal drugs and alcohol. Typically, right wing radicals aren't known to consort with the Justice Department, Senator's wives, Liberals, African Americans, or Muslims. In short, Madera, and his accusations are ludicrous in the extreme.

Madera's lies are particularly ironic because (below) you will hear Madera tell the story of how HE (Madera) impersonated a field rank officer, AND, on our recordings page, you can hear Madera say "Sig Heil", talk about "Arbeit Macht Frei," eugnenics, sterilization, euthanasia, lobotomies, and other nazi principles and goals. On these pages, you'll also hear Madera discuss "hook nose, swarthy, cheap Jews" and "rabbi terrorists". Madera, as usual, epitomizes that which he accuses others of doing/being. It is his signature trait. If he accuses someone of something, invariably, it turns out to be true -- about MADERA.

Madera calls Crow a series of childish and defamatory names, up to and including calling him a criminal. However, Madera provides no evidence, no links to official documents, no indictments, no court cases, no proofs, nothing whatsoever to support his bizarre rants. In point of fact, Brian Crow has never been found guilty of any wrongdoing, by any agency of law enforcement, anywhere. We have thoroughly examined and explored Brian Crow's impressive credentials and his resume and he has in fact taught at the University level, worked with various ethnic groups, sat on the Board of Directors of African American self-help foundations, served as an Examiner for the Courts, been lauded for his tireless volunteer work, served as a Consultant for a number of government entities, and Crow is, in fact, more than qualified to sit for the Psychologist's exam in any number of States.

In contrast, Karol Madera lives in a garage-like structure with it's paint faded and peeling. The only tangible testament to Madera's "success" in life is a rusty, rotting, mildewed, nearly 30 year old automobile, parked at Madera's shack, which is precariously perched at the edge of a four lane highway. The shack is dominated by an antenna that overhangs his neighbor's property on both sides. Madera is not gainfully employed. He frequently engages in hours long tirades, admittedly under the influence of alcohol. Madera was rejected in his bid to become a barrister, tossed out of the Victoria Real Estate Board by the police, and, he is currently the most poorly regarded radio operator in all of Canada. All of this is well documented in our pages.

On the other hand, Brian Crow is well known, well respected, and he has owned a successful private practice in Pennsylvania for 20 years. Crow has held positions such as Teaching Assistant, Educational Consultant, Program Director, Program Designer, and Project Manager for various private and government entities. In the complete absence of any proof, and any objective evidence whatsoever to the contrary, we must classify Madera as a liar. Not only a liar, but a malicious and malignant liar, and a defamer of the first water.

If Madera can prove any of what he says, with any evidence of a criminal indictment, a letter of reprimand from the FCC, any indication at all that those he defames have been sanctioned by any responsible body at any time... even a traffic ticket, we will apologize to Mr. Madera, but in the absence of any of these, all of us in the radio community and elsewhere must reasonably conclude that Karol Florian Madera, of 3040 Tillicum Road, Saanich, British Columbia, is indeed a World Class Liar.

In the future we'll explore more of Madera's transparent defamation against other complainants against him, but for now, let's look at a few of Madera's "garden variety lies..."

"I advanced myself in rank...several ranks actually." Madera told callsign hi-jacker and fraud, Whitney Tritch, N3ZV, that he lied to a commanding officer (and others) about his rank in the military. Officer and a gentleman? Hardly. Listen here

"They made fraudulent attempts to affect my amateur licence." There have been many complaints made, but we have seen no objective evidence that complaints against Madera are anything but accurate and truthful.

"They anonymously defame their 'targets' on the Internet..." Anonymous posts have made accurate observations about Madera, but again, Madera has completely failed to provide objective evidence that anyone he has named has used anonymous posts to defame him. Saying so doesn't make it so.

"They made false "terrorist"/criminal allegations to "Authorities." Madera was recorded as he threatened to physically assault the United States Ambassador to Canada. Threatening violence is a crime. The Crown has failed to prosecute (so far) but threats were made nonetheless. Madera's threats were reported to the State Department, FBI, RCMP, CSIS, CIA, and others. As a result, Karol Madera is now on a terrorist watch list.

"Led by Brian, they send white powders marked 'Anthrax' through the mails." Someone definitely sent Madera white powder through the mail. Doing so was a serious crime. After a thorough review of the facts, the FBI offered Brian Crow a position as a consultant.

"I have an email." Madera read an email purportedly from John, in Dixon, Illinois. John is widely known as the founder of hi-fi SSB audio. John reports he has never emailed Madera and further, he had no idea who Madera was, until he heard this recording.

"The Minister told me." Minister Maxime Bernier told me to tell Brian to "mange la merde." The Minister for Industry Canada never gave Madera any such message.

"I can't hear you George!" Madera was caught using Skype to speak with George Zardecki. Despite being able to Zardecki perfectly well (through his computer speakers) he lies, telling Zardecki (over the air) "I had some trouble copying you George..."

"My Chief of police stands to attention when he sees me." The longer we listen, the more ridiculous Madera becomes.

"I have been commissioned by Canada." Commissioned? As a clown, perhaps, nothing more.

"Riley got the boot because of me." Possibly the most humorous/foolish lie yet. Hollingsworth thought about his decision to retire in 2007 and decided to stick around.

"Dan Jeswald is jamming me." Madera said this on air despite the fact that Jeswald was recovering from surgery in the intensive care unit of his local hospital at the very moment Madera accused him of jamming.

"Brian's jamming me." This is always a lie, but Madera pulled this boner during the month of August, 2007 when Brian was in Maine with only a Grundig G-5 portable receiver on hand to listen to Madera's ridiculous accusations.

"They fraudulently embroiled Glenn (K1MAN) with the FCC and by the end of 2005 effectively drove him out of the 20 meter Band." The FCC had been receiving complaints about Baxter since 1985. The FCC used their own ample monitoring evidence to levy a fine of $21,000 against Baxter.

On his web page, Madera has posted a picture of two individuals he labels Brian Crow and Mike Guernsey. In reality, this is a picture of two completely different men. Although the fraud was pointed out to Madera over a year ago, it remains on his web page.

"Brian did it!" Without fail Madera blames "Brian" for anything and everything other people write. In this example, he identifies someone named DeLorean as Brian. See: The real Delorean tells Madera to return his "junior detective kit" for a refund!

"Brian hosts that site ( ve7kfm.com ) it is a fraud, written as if by me." Quite the contrary, http://ve7kfm.com is accurate, it's about Madera, not by him, and it's not hosted or owned by Brian.

"Brian pretends to be a psychologist, but in reality he is hiding on the outskirts of Pittsburgh." Brian is an educational consultant who maintained the same office address for over 11 years. Here's an example of Brian "hiding" (along with his Mayor and Police Chief) in front of an audience of seventy-five. Madera also says Crow lives in Irwin, PA. Another lie!

"They admitted telephone harassment!" Madera hosts a sound clip. Two men laugh (uproariously) at Madera's on air stupidities, but neither man admitted "telephone harassment."

"So and So is Queer!" Madera apparently projects his own sexual preferences onto others. Madera is a single male living alone; a misogynist, known throughout the world for his homophobic, sadomasochistic diatribes about "sucking off" other men. We think he doth protest too much.

"Look what so and so said!" Madera has a habit of pulling internet quotes (out of context of course) using them to attempt to make a case against those he dislikes. Unfortunately for Madera, most of the quotes he uses are from people accused of pedophilia, fraud, illegal computer intrusion, FCC rules violations, interference, and general stupidity.

"Look what this dead man said!" Madera actually printed a "testimonial" from a Florida physician named Leo Winter, who had been deceased at least four years before Madera claimed he wrote the testimonial.

"These are unsolicited testimonials!" Not exactly. A young man finishing a jail term had plenty to say about Madera's strange solicitations. Let's just say Madera has done lots of soliciting, and not all of Madera's solicitations have focused on 12 year old girls.

"Brian and Tom furnished fraudulent evidence to the Professional Engineering board regarding Glenn Baxter." Wrong again! Computer forensics consultant Tom Whatley had nothing to do with the complaint that resulted in Baxter being cautioned by the PE board after 3 formal hearings before Maine's Assistant Attorney General.

"I'm not anti-American!" No, of course not... Madera just thinks American's need to be taught a lesson, and to suffer, by experiencing al Qaeda's roadside bombs. He also said the Virginia Tech massacre was "a good start."

"I'm more of a lawyer than you are." False. Madera is not lawyer and has never been a lawyer. Madera was not admitted to the Bar (for obvious reasons) and once again, Madera is NOT a lawyer.

"Fred Lloyd said..." No. Fred Lloyd never said any such thing. Quiz: Name the offensive Canadian who is banned from qrz.com? If you answered "Karol Madera" you are correct.

"Hollingsworth is a fraud." Sorry. Fraud is a legal term applicable only after conviction for fraud. This is another defamatory non-starter. No proof, no charge, no trial, no crime, and most importantly, no fraud.

"My website is essentially reactive." Again, another of Madera's transparent lies. This website began in October 2006. Madera's Life of Riley was published in Poland in 2003. And since we always back up our claims, here's the link to Mader'a first site. Notice the copyright in 2003.

"Brian has over the past 2+ years also mis-appropriated my identity [and that of others] numerous times and even runs several ‘spoofy’ and highly defamatory and FRAUDulent websites against me—which to the uninitiated are expressly designed to look ‘as if mine’…." This is laughable. A ham radio callsign is not an "identity," and even a casual reader can tell the difference between this site, with its reasoned, orderly facts, and Madera's site, consisting of the irrational lamentations of a decompensated personality. Once again, no proof offered, just a ridiculous, repetitive rant.

"A mere shadow of this Website was initially started on Yahoo! GeoCities in the Fall of 2006... the Website was FRAUDulently taken down by Brian... A. Wrong. Yahoo took the website down. We're not sure why Madera calls Yahoo fraudulent, but B. He forgot to mention his second and third Yahoo websites, also taken down by Yahoo, for hate speech. First site, Second site, Third site.

Madera harvests anonymous comments from the internet, attributing the comments to people he dislikes. Although the comments are anonymous [meaning of unknown provenance] Karol Madera "knows" who made them. In addition to being a liar, racist, bigot, and fraud, he seems to be telepathic and clairvoyant as well.

Lorna K0WHY called Madera's website “a site by a moron for morons.” However, on his page, Madera turned her statement around 180 degrees and claimed she was discussing this website!

Madera has begun pulling psychiatric classifications out of the dictionary. Without the slightest training in the matter, he unethically, and with intent to defame, ascribes mental diseases to others. He was recently reported to Canadian authorities for practicing medicine, and law, without a license.

In 2008, Congress launched a probe of FCC practices with regard to spectrum auctions. Madera took credit for the probe (!) and he promises "heads will roll" at the FCC. Have we ever mentioned, Karol Madera was referred to as a "fruitcake" by the FCC Special Counsel?
